I think at 1st.after I started removing my pub's I was a little shy but after I got past that time I can only say that I have never gotten so much as a giggle. In fact 1 time the d r's.Assistant made a remark that she has been noticing that more & more men either triming or completlely removing all their hair & that she only barely got her boyfriend to shave it off.But she asked me what I do to keep my skin,(I asked her if she wanted to feel how smooth it was),it was a quick & short feel),I told her I used baby lotion about 3 times a day.I just learned another way of not feeling the"nubs",& that is to use deorderant after you shave.I've not tried that yet but believe me I'm going to try it.

I found laser works very well if your hair color is not gray, white, or red. Also, laser is not recommended for dark skinned people because the laser targets dark pigment. These colors can only be removed permanently by electrolysis which can be expensive. I shaved for many years but decided to do laser 2 1/2 years ago. I underwent 6 laser treatments on full torso and pubic areas starting late 2011 and completed late 2012. All dark hair was removed, but I still had about 20% remaining as gray hair. Maintenance was much easier, but I was still shaving. Then in spring 2013 I began electrolysis to remove the remainder of the gray and it is almost all gone. I have not shaved for over a year now and I have very little regrowth. Electrolysis is tedious and more expensive and painful than laser, but I am almost to the end of my hair removal journey. Smooth all the time with only minor regrowth of mostly white fine hairs with no need to shave. I should be 100% clear by the end of summer or perhaps sooner. After 20 years of shaving several times a week, not having to shave is worth every minute and dollar spent. Oh, by the way I have a very good hair removal specialist, both laser and electrolysis, here in Phoenix which I would recommend to anyone wanting to do laser and/or electrolysis.

What is the best way for men to shave down there?

I am definately in the shaved lobby. I shave most of my body hair 'cos I enjoy the feeling of being completetly smooth. I think is more hygenic and no pubic hairs in the shower to boot. Just because men shave their pubes doesn't mean they are latent paedophiles - we are just owning our body, doing what we want to do with it and not bowing to any convention that says it is taboo to do what loads of women have been doing for ages. Long live the smoothie look.

I never shaved but I do like to trim up my pubs it does look neater and feels better, at least to me. I was 52 before I shaved the first time and like to trim it up occationally.

I have to say that I like both, hair and shaved. Although I prefer nicely trimmed. I am now shaved or at lease trimmed up. So, nicely trimmed is what I like to see, both men and women.

Not sure why, but I thought I would weigh in on this overly blogged topic with my two cents. I first went "bald" down below several years ago after being encouraged by my then wife. While I admit that I initially thought it looked a little odd because I'm fairly hairy elsewhere, it felt incredible. Since then, I have gotten divorced but continued the daily shave ritual. My current girlfriend loves it but, more importantly, I love it. My older brother and his wife have also gone smooth down below, as are several of my buddies. While I'm certainly glad that it's become popular and socially acceptable for men to completely shave off their pubic hair, I think all comes down to a matter of personal choice. I am certainly NOT, as some other ridiculous blog suggested, a latent pedophile! I just enjoy the sensation and sensitivity of feeling completely naked by virtue of being bush free. One added benefit of my "baldness" is that because I never wear underwear, I never worry about getting pubes caught in my zipper! I try and accept others for their choices, and hope that they can accept me for mine. Isn't acceptance and tolerance a part of the core fundamentals of this community? Peace.

I prefer natural pubes. Shaved or trimmed looks strange to me.

For my two bits, I prefer the natural look for pubes. Maybe trimed but not shaven smooth. But have noticed something from those that say smooth is best, the only way to be. Everyone of those that has a photo have hair on their heads. Why isn't the head hair shaved also, then you can have an entire smooth body.

How often has this subject been discussed on here???? I thought nudists were supposed to be unconcerned about appearance. Genitalia free of pubic hair simulate a pre-pubescent state of development. Beware of latent pedophiles!!!!!
