It depends. What kind of garden, where you live, how buggy your place is...
Our farm is about 1/3 clothing optional. Vegetable gardens, pecan tree nursery, stocked pond (aquaculture could be construed as gardening), pecan orchards...
Bug spray and sunscreen are our best friends. We do have to deal with poison ivy, Virginia creeper, black and honey locust (thorn trees, quite toxic), osage orange (thorn trees, mildly toxic), crown of christ (thorny citrus shrubs, some kinda toxic) and such so we stock hydrocortisone cream and 70% isopropyl alcohol.
It's well worth the occasional scratch or insect bite. No laundry to mess up the washer, extra vitamin D intake, sleep better, work outside longer.
Start with flowers or vegetables and work your way up.
Love the outdoors and garden naked.. and especially when I am seeking out a way to cookout too without my great zippo 25 in the hot summer.. communicating with nature and soaking up the sun and the breeze
