It seems that quite a few nudists ,men and women, love the feel of the smooth look.
I am wondering now about undergoing a physical and being void of pubic hairs? I feel fine among nudist but would feel somewhat akward in the examining room. How does anyone feel toward this subject?

I myself have shaved periodically for close to 40 years and have been to see my doctor on many occasions (she was a female if it makes a difference) and the doctor has never said a word about me be smooth in a negative or postive way though the doctor did ask me why I shaved and I said because I enjoyed been smooth. I have a new doctor now ( as old one has moved away ) and is a female also and she to has seen me bucknaked full frontal and all and she has never mentioned it at all. I do not think why being smooth or hairy should both any doctor.

nothing to feel awkward about. doctors are professionals and i'm sure have seen everything. i do shave my scrotum and keep my pubic hair trimmed very short. it looks like the 5 o'clock shadow of a beard.
my doctor actually thanked me and stated that it made it much easier to examine me and that he wished more people did the same. he also shared that he keeps his genitals completely smooth and that if i've never tried it, i should give it a shot. he prefers the look and finds the feel to be very sensual. and so, i encourage you to relax and be yourself!

I don't about male doctors but my female doctor told me she prefers the females come in smooth. She says its easier to exam.

In the Summer because I have a bit of hair down there-I do shave my scrotum, US Army field hygiene. But that's about it. And I have been asked by my now-female general Practitioner about it. After I told her w hy-it made perfect sense to her and we moved on. not really crazy about the feel of it tho-specially when I sweat but better than the heat rashes!!! I like da' hair.

Exactly. Doctors know people groom themselves in the pubic region. It might be more unusual for men (though I suspect it's becoming more common), but most doctors won't be surprised. And no professional is going to say anything, unless they're concerned about razorburn, or something.

I can't see why you would shave if you were worried about people seeing you shaved,
from a doctors point of veiw, if that was the area of examination, i should imagine it only makes their life easier.
also i expect most of them have seen much stranger things and wouldn't mention it, but if they did, why would that bother you?
..."I see you shave?"
..."yeh, i find it more comfortable and hygenic...."
..whats the big deal?

I've been going smooth for about 5 years. The first time I visited the doctor after I went smooth, he didn't say a word about it. The next time, he just warned me about ingrown hairs, but offered no suggestions. The doctor later closed his practice and I had to get a new doctor. This one is female and fairly new to the practice. She didn't say anything either about my being smooth, but I could tell by the look in her eyes that she had not seen many (if any) men smooth.

I went to the doctor 3 times within the last three months and none f them said anything. I have to go back tomorrow again to the same doctor and most likely he will see me all over again. I have no problem with that. I am more worried about the pain in my testicle ( epidedimis ) then he seeing me with no hair

Haven't always shaved, but actually had a doctor (when younger) suggest I shave myself and apply talc w/cornstarch like for a baby, to help rid heat rash from working out of doors. Plus me mentioned it would be much easier to find those little pesks here in the States called ticks..

Don't worry about it chief. I've been shaven down there for over a decade. First as hygenics in the Army (panama is rather tropical) Then for simple grooming. From Army docs, to my bi-annual dot physical, only 1 doc said anything! He saw my tatoo, and noticed the lack of hair and asked, "You went somewhere tropical did'nt you?" NONE of the others even seemed to notice.

I'm a male that has been shaved for more that several years. I've had both male and female doctors. I can't remember if I was concerned the first time I went. But now, it's no problem, I can't wait for them to tell me to get naked. I only wish they wouldn't make me wear a gown. I've had a female nurse give me a shot in the ass, I happened to have on a g-string that day. It never bothered me, and she didn't say anything. It made for having a shot in the ass alot easier. The shot was for the flue or something. I'm clean.

I see shaving a matter of choice, be it is on my chin or below my belt. Doctors see many strange things, the lack of pubis is not that strange.

Ive been smooth since I was 17 and had to be naked with a doctor a few times since then.
I felt un-sure the first time but nothing has ever been said, and to be honest I would have been surprised if the doctor had passed any comment about it.
So, dont worry...I am sure he or she have seen it all before.

Gordon Bennet is what I say.
Where do you guys come from ?
If you want to remove body hair as it makes you feel better to go to a nude beach, or mix with naturist friends, why should you give a pig's phart if a doctor sees it ?
Give us a break !

My doctor is also a female, and she haven?t asked anything. Last time I just saw how she smiled when she examined my scrotum.

I have been smooth for years. My doctor is a female and has never commented. The only a comment was made was by a nurse as the doctor always has a nurse in if you are naked and this young nurse maybe 21 or 22 said to the doctor I have never seen that. The doctor just continued on as if nothing was said.
