ANSWER: Because I took a 28 day winter vacation with "sick leave", I didn't want to loose.. I have never called in to work sick ...ever... in my 8 years here.. So my sick leave time accumulates... Which is why many of you have seen alot of me lately.... I have the time to to catch up with some of you out there and also I get the chance to "quiet a few doubters", and chat with my friends! But after Jan 7th, it's back to the "grind stone".... Everyone have a good week...

Here in the U.K, there is a public debate going on as to whether those working in the Public Sector take more 'Sick leave' than those working in the Private sector. Apparently Public Sector employees take considerably more time off, maybe it is the stress levels they encounter? The amount of 'Sick leave' taken is even taken into when selecting folks for redundancy as places 'Down Size'. Certainly in Public or Private sectors, there is no entitlement to 'Accumulate and save up 'Sick leave'
