I've always wanted to become a nude author ever since I finished college. I would like to here what nude careers people wish for or are already living it.
Well, if the owner of a business could be convinced having a nude employee were a novelty, and there was a time to 'break in' the customers before springing it on them, then anyone who comes to call on the business AFTER the notices are put out would be doing so willingly.
For example, if I were going to work the front counter of an autoparts store in the buff and this fact was made obvious to customers a couple of weeks in advance, would it work? How many people view nudity so dimly they would businesses to avoid someone that was just trying to be themselves?
It seems like any private business could set this up as an employee privilege IF they really wanted.

I have had two different experiences. I once worked in a small warehouse for a man who was a nudist. Since he was in the front office he could not be nude but I worked in the back so I would leave the house naked in the morning and drive to work, put in my time and return home nude. It was a great experience.
I have my own home and there is a sign in front saying the clothing is optional here. I have had two different workmen who came to do repairs asked if the could work nude and I said yes. One of them worked here for over month naked. I am glad I have the sign in front.

I happen to be a plumber by trade, and I did a total bathroom remodel for an ex gf pretty much totally nude. Took longer, btw, being nude...not because of safety issues.....but because of the beer and hottub outside that she supplied. Funny thing is I lost the gf.....but I do have the hottub she gave me lol. And yes, as far as safety, gotta watch out when using a torch

I would think one possible "career" would be working at a Naturist resort if you could get one. Either at the front desk checking in members and guests or as a grounds keeper/maintenance worker or whatever they have a need of someone doing. A job in this situation would let you be nude at work with no one complaining, and still draw a paycheck.

George Bernard Shaw was a famous literary figure in the early 20th century and a dedicated naturist. At his home at Ayot St Lawrence near me in Hertfordshire (which is now a National Trust property) he had a special writing hut which could be turned around to face the sun. I am not sure that being nude improved his writing, more the case that as a successful playwright he could indulge his interest in the then new and fashionable cause of naturism.
I agree with Brian, though, that the opportunites to make a full time career out of being naked, apart from art and literature, are few and far between.
I suppose you could be a nude fisherman but that would not be possible in our latitiudes.

Wow, A Nuddie from Knottingly, that must be exciting, used to pass through on my way north and south on the A1. We now spend our time in the buff down here in on the Norfolk/Cambs borders.

Our farm is seasonally clothing optional. Any work in the produce fields, some of the pecan harvesting/processing, some of the mowing, definitely any of the pond work can be done nude.
And the season varies, last week it was 70F here.

Well im a naturist and a plumber id be happy to attend to my duties naked in fact it would be a relief. I know there are certain health & safety rules but I dont see having my willy out as being a problem unless the customer is offended

From the U.K based naturist sites we belong to, we do not know of anybody making a decent income from being a 'Professional Nude'. Some try to add to their income by being Nudist models for Art Drawing or Painting classes at local colleges - this lasts maybe 6 weeks or so, until they need a new model (Shape). Others offer their services such as DIY persons doing allsorts of property maintenance - of course outdoor work will be limited by how private their property is. Might be different at some of your 'Resorts' in the USA.
