A family in Rahway, New Jersey, was told by police to cover a nude snow woman after an anonymous complaint. The snow sculpture was a re-creation of the famous Venus de Milo that the family created outside their home.
While most passersby appreciated the sculpture, a green bikini top and blue sarong bottom were added until the snow woman melted when temperatures warmed up.

Wow, what a sculpture!!! They are really gifted to do such a fine work. I wish I could do such sculptures - the only thing I can do is a Xmas tree out of snow every year. Well I also did a 3m high guitar (see the pic.), but that wasn't to compare to the sculpture in question. In my opinion this is artwork on a high level and should be appreciated and not covered.

Let us not forget the battle rages almost everywhere. First keep in mind coming out of the Dark Ages in the Middle Ages nude statues and paintings were common and very much prevalent. But when that twit John Ashcroft was Attorney General he demanded that the nude statues in the Justice Building have "Leaves" placed over the genitalia! The man who was supposed to be guarding our security was staring at the genitals of statues and art work instead! Shame on him!

Indeed it was a nice sculpture. The degree of intolerance is only matched by the depth of the ccomplainer's mind in the sewer. Note: this is not necessarily my opinion, but it is my observation.

We have just had a program on TV which featured Pictures with 'NAKED BODIES' These were from Victorian Times (Mid 1850's to early 1900's) In those puritain times in the UK, they made it OK by putting them in 'CLASSICAL' poses. That made them ART, which could be admired by both Men and Women

This was posted on my AANR bulletin.. I just couldn't believe what I read.. What is wrong with this whole picture? I guess it only takes one person to complain.. and the police come down on you. When the majority don't take offense to the snow sculpture..So unbelieveable. What are your comments to the nude, snow sculpture?
