Its been a while now since I sat for a life class but last Thursday I was back on the rug in the middle of a Studio being scetched drawn and painted once more (well, they were actually painting a picture of me not painting me...maybe I'll suggest the later for another week;).
I did something a little different this time though; I popped in some contact lenses so I could see those around me. As a glassess wearer I have always taken my spec's off to pose before and treated the session as meditation / relaxation, but watching those in the class was very interesting. Seeing the process they went through, how they got started and, I noted, one lady struggling not to look at my penis.
Amazingly I'd say there is actually more to see as a model than there is as an artist. I was unchanging immobile; there to be watched and recreated in the two-dimensional. Whereas from my perspective I was presented with studies who were, in a strange way, almost unaware I was there. Lost in there work and their thoughts it gave a fantastic insight into their personalities (at least the ones I could see).
I highly recommend you give it a try.

"So it is not nakedness that gives the sense of immodesty, the modifying the nakedness is what does it."
