As the vast majority of folks on NF are just 'Basic' members, the use of the 'Wink System' is not a lot of use; if other 'Basics' can only 'Wink' back. Even if they do have a picture and their profile is of interest to you, can most people justify paying 'Gold Subs', just to make an initial contact that may well be a waste of time.
The same applies to members without a picture in their profile, is there a good reason for this? Like a Public job, or maybe they do not want anybody to know what their profile says they are seeking.
Even when we were 'Gold' members, we never contacted people without a face to relate to. That said, you were never really sure if the picture was in fact of them or even of them and 20 years out of date.
Once in a while you do meet genuine folks via N.F, after all I met my lady via N.F. Must have been a miracle!
